Resturant Style Paneer Chilli | How to make Paneer Chilli

PANEER CHILLI  INTRODUCTION

Chilli paneer is one of the famous and tastiest Indo-Chinese dish..

The main ingredient is the paneer cubes which are roasted and made crispy in a mixture of spicy sauces with the goodness of soy sauce, vinegar, chilli sauce…It is generally preferred with rice, Noodles, One can also have it with Rotis.

This paneer chilli is a very loving dish by Indians..

There are two types of paneer chilli which is popular in India:

  1. Dry paneer chilli which can be served as a starter at a party or we can have it anytime as breakfast.
  2. Gravy paneer chilli which is eaten as a main course with roti or rice according to our way of having it because we will be making it in semi-dry version so that it can work for both.

I am sharing the recipe which you can have both in that the dry as well as main course version as per your convenience.

This recipe is made with cottage cheese (paneer) and with chopped veggies.

You can make it simply by adding paneer chilli masala which is available in the readymade form…

If you want to make it at home like you don’t want to buy that readymade masala then you can switch to a different sauce ie. Soy sauce, vinegar, ketchup,schezwan chutney etc.

I am really excited to share my restaurant style paneer chilli which we will be making at home so get ready.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Paneer 250g (cut into cubes)
  • 2-3 Tablespoons cornstarch
  • Salt
  • Onions (petals separated)
  • Green onion for garnishing
  • Capsicum sliced
  • Black pepper
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Oil for frying
  • Water
  • Paneer chilli masala – Readymade (optional)

Sauce:

•Vinegar

•Ketchup

•Soy sauce

•Red chilli sauce

•Schezwan chutney

•Sugar half teaspoon

RECIPE:

•Take a pan, cut the paneer into cubes

• On a plate, Take 3 tablespoons corn starch and add black pepper powder

•Add paneer cubes in that flour and start frying in an oil

•After frying paneer, Add onion and saute till light brown, Then add capsicum, add white ends of green onions and some leaves (Don’t add the entire green onion, keep some leaves for garnishing)

•Fry until it gets half cooked,

•Add ginger garlic paste,

•Meanwhile take a bowl, add soy sauce (1-2 tablespoons), Vinegar, green chilli sauce, ketchup and sugar (1 tablespoon each) combined and set aside

•After the ginger garlic paste gets cooked the raw smell fades away to add this combined slurry of sauces

•Also mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 4 tablespoon water until the starch gets completely dissolved and set aside,

•Add after the sauce is cooked for 2 mins

•Add salt and stir.

•Add the paneer cubes and cook for 10 mins.

•Turn off the heat and garnish with green onions.

•Serve with rice or noodles or rice.

NOTE:

•If you are preparing using readymade chilli paneer masala then take a bowl add 1 full packet of masala in the boil add water and mix thoroughly. “Set aside”

•Add in the step where the sauces are added

•Salt should be in proper proportions

•If you want spicy paneer chilli to add green chilli in ginger garlic paste

•Cook the vegetables in high flame so that it can get a little crispy as well as paneer also (Don’t burn)
